What this is, plainly

CPW publishes its sheriff-verified firearms instructors as one unsorted spreadsheet — 376 rows covering 336 people, since some are listed more than once. We reorganized that same public list by county so people searching for a class can actually find one. Your entry shows your name, your county, and your website if we could find it — never your email address.

To be exact about who verified what: your county sheriff verified you, CPW published it, and we sorted the list. This site does not verify, endorse, rank, or vet instructors, and the badge below says the same thing.

Claim your entry

Use your name exactly as it appears on the state list, and the email address the state has for you — that pairing is how we confirm a claim is really yours. Nothing is published until we apply it on the next weekly refresh.

The badge

It states three facts and nothing else: a sheriff verified you, under SB25-003, and you're on the list this site publishes. It is not an award and not our endorsement — we have no standing to give either.

The code you'll paste looks like this, with your own county filled in:

Where to paste it

Two minutes on any of these. The badge is one small image that links back to your listing — it loads from this site, so you have nothing to upload.

Wix

1. Open the page you want it on and click Edit.
2. Add Elements (the + button) → Embed Code → Embed HTML.
3. Drag the box where you want the badge, then click Enter Code.
4. Paste the code, click Update, then resize the box so it fits the badge (about 300 by 90 pixels).
5. Publish.

Squarespace

1. Edit the page, then click an insertion point where you want the badge.
2. Choose the Code block from the block menu.
3. Delete the placeholder text, paste the code, and make sure the block's mode is set to HTML.
4. Click Apply, then Save.

WordPress

1. Edit the page, post, or a sidebar widget area.
2. Add a Custom HTML block (in the block editor, click + and search for "Custom HTML").
3. Paste the code into the block.
4. Update or Publish.

Anything else

Any site builder with an "embed HTML", "custom code", or "raw HTML" block works the same way — paste the code, save, done. If yours doesn't have one, or the badge comes out the wrong size, email us and we'll work it out with you.

Corrections and removal

Wrong county? Name misspelled by the state? Don't want to be listed? Email [email protected] and it's handled the same day — no form, no account, no reason needed. Listing is free for everyone whether or not you ever display the badge, and there is nothing to buy on this page.
